Diaper Service

Eco Tots offers families in Southern Oregon an alternative to disposable diapers. We'd like to see disposables returned to the position in the market in which they originally placed themselves... a product to be used sparingly, not exclusively.

Cloth diapers simply feel better: to our touch, to our hearts, to our babies, and to our Earth. No garbage, no chemicals. They are a pure, natural and safe diapering choice, and they're by far the most economical choice when you factor in disposal of your disposables and their long term global effects. With a diaper service, they take even less effort than tossing something into the trash can.

Help the planet by reducing landfill, and feel good knowing that you are personally responsible for keeping over ONE TON of disposable diapers & wipes out of the landfills.

Think about it, when you throw a diaper "AWAY"...where exactly is away?

How It Works

We require a minimum 12 week contract with the start-up cost and 4 weeks paid in full before we start the service. Should you decide to cancel you are responsible for the full term of the contract. This 12 week minimum service period is in affect to cover our costs; anything less keeps us from breaking even on each customer.

Each week we will deliver your clean diapers in a duffle bag labeled with a number assigned to you. The day of your scheduled pick-up, just put the dirty diapers in your diaper duffle and set it out on your porch or other pre-designated area. We will pick it up and leave you with another bag of clean diapers. This duffle bag is moisture resistant and is designed to work as a diaper pail liner. Use it in your diaper pail or put it in the garage and transfer the dirties into it...or how ever works best for you!

We recommend an order of 55 - 70 diapers for a newborn baby. If you decide to start with 70, we will deliver 70 diapers on our first visit to your home. On the second visit we will deliver another 70 diapers and pick up your soiled diapers. On our third visit we will return the diapers you turned in the previous week to maintain your inventory at 70 diapers. If you need more or less diapers delivered just call and we can adjust accordingly.

Please note that your diapers are delivered in your diaper pail liners. Please do not rinse or soak diapers, as this will cause mold on the diapers. For your convenience and ours, please have your bag out by 7:00 am on your delivery day as the exact time of delivery may vary from week to week. This also allows the driver to complete their routes more efficiently. For sanitary reasons, please have your bag securely closed. Your driver has extra deodorizers on the truck, so you may request these by leaving a note CLEARLY VISIBLE on your bag. The cost for this deo-disc will be added to your monthly invoice.

Diapers are fastened by either a diaper wrap or diaper pins. A good working number of wraps to own is four minimum; it is easier if you have seven or eight. We suggest as a rule, one wrap for every 4-6 diapers. Diaper pins are nice to have around as a back up. We have slip-on diaper covers, wraps, cloth pocket diapers (we don't launder these), and pins to be delivered with your diapers, see our baby store page. You can also buy wraps and covers at some local baby stores and they are on ebay. Washing instructions for most covers are wash cold, use 1/4-1/2 the suggested detergent, line dry or tumble low. DO NOT use fabric softeners!

If you miss a pick-up we can schedule for another pick up day for an additional charge. In rare instances where this cannot be arranged you will need to drop the diapers off at our office between 10am - 6pm. We cannot deliver clean diapers if there is no pick up of used diapers. Diapers left for over a week will get mold and become ruined. Charges will apply to diapers that are ruined due to mold.

Please do not turn in your clean diapers unless we have arranged for a drop in number, a size change or you are leaving on vacation.
